As part of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, this is STAND UP for Others Week. And we know a great way to stand up for others without putting yourself in harm’s way. Tipline by Securly.
What is Tipline?
Tipline lets anyone report incidents of bullying or violence while remaining anonymous. However, the game-changer between Tipline and other reporting services is that Securly staff perform a risk-assessment and information verification, something automated systems simply cannot do.
The great thing about Tipline is that it is very easy to use. Designed so that even younger students can use it, Tipline makes submitting a tip quick and safe. Watch the video below to see how it works:
What about false positives?
To lower a rate of false positives, tips are given a risk assessment, using other vectors that Securly has access to verify the information provided, including web searches and other data. Risk-assessments by the 24 Team are included in the Tipline notification shared with schools.
How does it work?
- Tips can be submitted via app, phone, email, or web form
- Districts will be immediately alerted to all time-sensitive reports
- Schools receive a copy of the report with all relevant information
