Securly is bringing Stories to parents
Forget the soap operas and online streaming. Parents all over will soon be getting their stories from Securly. That’s because users of the Securly Home app will soon be receiving Stories—snapshots that show their child’s educational activities over the past 24 hours.
Refreshing each day, stories give parents a curated glimpse of their child’s educational online activity across several categories, including: Web searches, YouTube videos watched, sites viewed, and more. In most cases, parents will get additional details and context in the form of website names, logos, video snapshots (in cases of streaming), and, in cases of social media, the post content itself.
Stories will show parents only content their child has accessed online and not blocked content that they attempted to access. Our hope is that Stories can help parents better understand what their child’s learning, insight that parents can use to take a more active role in their children’s education.
